Assessments

Assessments can help to evaluate a person's cognitive, emotional, or behavioral functioning to assist in accurately diagnosing any mental health conditions. Assessments can also help us to gain insight into who we are and why we think, feel, and behave the way we do. Assessments are important when creating treatment plans, identifying strengths and weaknesses, supporting educational needs, and tracking progress over time.

ADD/ADHD

ADHD assessments are used to evaluate symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents, incorporating input from both parents and teachers.

Integrated Child Temperament Inventory

Research into child temperament has seen major advances over the last three decades, bringing child temperament to the front of child psychology and psychiatry and other allied disciplines. The ICTI is used to assess aspects of temperament in children in the areas of frustration, behavioral inhibition, activity level, attention/persistence, and sensory sensitivity. This assessment can help professionals and parents better understand a child, their strengths and barriers, and how to parent them most effectively through childhood. This assessment is for children ages 2-8.

STRONG Interest Inventory

Choosing a college or career path can feel overwhelming, especially when options seem endless and so much is at stake. But with the right guidance, uncertainty can turn into a clear sense of direction.

The Strong Interest Inventory® assessment is a widely used, highly regarded career exploration and planning tool to help uncover what truly interests them—something research shows is a key factor in long-term career satisfaction. By identifying an individual’s interests and linking them to real-world occupations and educational pathways that people with similar interests have found satisfying, the Strong assessment provides powerful starting points for college and career exploration.

Biopsychosocial Evaluation

A biopsychosocial evaluation is a comprehensive evaluation model that considers biological, psychological, and social factors effecting one's mental/emotional health. Biopsychosocial assessments are helpful in diagnosing or ruling out mental health disorders. They are especially helpful in understanding the person as a whole before creating a treatment plan for psychiatry, counseling, academics, etc.
